Trap Bar Deadlift with Gary Roberts
Переглядів 3,4 тис.10 років тому
www.fitnessinstitute.com/gary-roberts-hpc/ Trapbar Deadlift - This exercise is great for strength maintenance because it incorporates those muscles hockey players constantly need to be triggering; Glutes, Hamstrings and Quads. With skating the quads become very dominant so we would like to be targeting the glutes and hamstrings as much as possible. The Trapbar Deadlift is an excellent lower bod...

The biz!!!!!
Phil Kessel does NONE of this... Maybe some 12-oz curls , getting up and walking to the kitchen for more nachos , walking his dog maybe? He has played like 900 gazillion consecutive games....and still being productive in those games. Hockey is an incredibly demanding game physically , I think some of these gimmick programs are detrimental .
Kessel does a lot of this actually... in fact Kessel is a famous client of Gary Roberts whose 500+ pound deadlift is legend
He is a total BADASS !!!!
He could be a great coach any sport anytime
Some players over do it and train to much. Stamkos is probably one of the first that comes to mind as he is often injured. Take nothing from Roberts he was a warrior. Also it is well noted Gretzky pre game ritual was a hot dog and Diet Coke before the game , he did alright .
*3 chilli cheese dogs, yeah Wayne had an ok career.
Phil Kessel agrees.
@@occamsox5331 ya fat Phil done alright to. Gonna score his 400th soon while stamkos has 466 in fewer games
How many grams of protein, carbs, and fats should a fit 175 5’11 15 year old get?
Protein= 175 g per day, give or take Carbs= 300-375 g per day Fat= 30-50 g per day. *divided over 5-6 meals per day.
This just got recommended to me. I didn't know Gary had a UA-cam channel.
No sir
Great video man!!
RIP Charles.
Gary has juicy quads
Sounds like a hang over cure
what a beauty , Roberts for Head Coach
Yo u're only a year older than me??!!Holy shit!!I listen to my body,eat flakies,everything that's bad for me i love it;)You can't help me,nobody can ;)Heehee
Gary, Thanks You....!!
Nice job thanks for being a good nhler/cool AF
Charles Poliqun is the man. On another note, many players of the late 70’s and early 80’s had to pull down a second job in the off season as salaries were very modest for the average nhl’er
Scary Gary
that isn't 500 lbs that's 2 maybe 3, 45's and a 15 and a 10 a side. max 365 lbs
Stammer, what's up with those chicklets?
what brand is your cable machine?
the best nutrittonal meal is fired chicken and watermelon. black folks eat it daily and they are the best athletes in da world
Gary, will your camp make me a better middle-aged accountant?
1:01. Stick to hockey, bro. Baseball aint your thing.
Great training exercise!! Keep making more videos! They are really awesome!!
Great video! Keep making more !!!!
Hey, Gary I have a serious question about farts... does eating all this raw food make you fart a lot ?P.- S. I have a lot of respect for you, and you are the one I turned to for advices
Why do you people think he is on roids? He does this shit so he has a faster shot, which leads to a better scoring chance. He doesn't do roids.
Awesome! I love these kind of videos.
haha Gary is so badass. I remember going to Flames game when I was young vs the Hartford Whalers and it was his fist game back after a severed spine or something crazy and he scored the first goal of the game on a nice move. Then I went to another game vs LA where he scored 2 goals and then was hit in a bad position and lost 3 teeth that got stick in his tongue and he came back in the 3rd period and scored the hat trick goal. Chuck Norris has nothing on him in real life.
That a man!
gary for the win !!!
Back into the box you go, Gary. 1.bp.blogspot.com/-j1Rrap5I94k/TuWRHbmKdYI/AAAAAAAABL0/0i7C3WqliSs/s640/roberts+too+much+man.jpg
Datum it didn't faze him like tf lol
That's how you do it
Well done by one of the greatest LW of all time.Who will nominate the greatest C players of all time...Gretzky and Lemieux?
hooo wow like a boss amazing hahaha
Now that's how it's done. LOL
Too much man
Would a two hand - chest style landmine replicate the cable anti rotation press, i find the motions very similar?
How many sets for this routine?
Hey Gary, showed my son this (he's a 1st year peewee going into his 2nd year hopefully AA) and loved the quick tips. Keep them coming and thank you for the simple ideas.
Great video, I like the idea of making the videos depending what you're looking to improve. I'll be sure to share this one
Do the gym rats posting here realize that Steven Stamkos is probably one of the best pure goal scorers in the NHL? I'm sure he doesn't need your criticism.
What does that have to do with weight lifting?
At first I took your reply as a rude type of sarcastic mainly because I didn't know Steven Stamkos is a NHL player. I just thought it was some regular guy who was deadlifting 500lbs. I also didn't see your last post, so I apologize for jumping to conclusions.
Very jealous. In fact I replied as such. I even went so far as to call myself a nitwit. I'd love to have this guy play for my favorite team. Hell. I even withdrew my remark and apologized for my moment of indiscretion.
You jealous bro? Just because someone lifts more than you doesn't mean he's on steroids.
He's going to get hurt with that form. His chest and shoulders are too far forward. When he lifts heavy weight they will pull even further forward and his lower back will have to stabilize the entire lift. That is how people get hurt.
Great exercise, I have been doing this one after our session with Nike.
Yeah i know, that's what I said.
